Learn how to participate in public comment opportunities

Public input processes are new to many of us. We're providing opportunities for you to learn how best to share your hopes for the Randall Preserve through public workshops, and some prompts here on RandallPreserve.org.

Here are a few ways to help you engage:

  1. Learn from our recent commenting Workshop
  2. Review the Randall Preserve Allowed / Designated Uses, and other important links on this page to help guide your comments
  3. Review some best practices for writing comments:
    1. Be as detailed as possible.
    2. Include why the idea or issue matters to you.
    3. Be level-headed and constructive.
    4. Hyperbole and intensity lessens the impact of your comment.
    5. Repetition from multiple people makes a difference.
    6. You should still comment on something even if you know others have too.
    7. Keep in mind the limitations of a nature Preserve, especially the limits for passive recreation.
    8. Feel free to have your submission be a question, but know you might not receive a direct answer.
  4. Submit a comment to the planning team!
